Important account information

As part of the transition, new UMB-branded cards were issued to all active cardholders to replace old cards.

Please communicate this information to your active cardholders:

  • Begin using your new UMB-branded card and destroy your old card.
  • Your card number, expiration date, and CVV code changed.

  • You can also add your card to a digital wallet to make purchases at participating stores and within the Apple Pay®, Google Pay®, or Samsung Pay® apps.

Client Advisor Support is available by calling 855-698-8050, option 7, option 2.

Outstanding balances and statements

Outstanding balances on your HTLF Accounts will not be transferred to your new UMB Accounts.

Your July statement (central or individually billed) will still be due in full on the scheduled due date. If automatic payments are in place, the payment will be drawn as scheduled from the bank account currently on file.

  • After conversion weekend, you will receive two statements:
    • (1) An HTLF statement for your remaining July HTLF card activity and reflecting the balance due.
    • (2) A UMB statement reflecting new transactions using your UMB cards and reflecting the balance due.
  • Your Account’s billing cycles will not change.
  • Automatic payments of the card balance for the Accounts will continue to use the demand deposit account designated for payments.

Please review the materials sent to you in early June for available payment methods.

You have access to UMB Commercial Card Online Platform to manage your card program.

The platform offers you the following functionality:

  • Card Management: real-time visibility and abilities to make updates to your accounts. You can also close accounts and create new accounts.
  • Statements: access to download PDF copies of statements for all accounts in your program.
  • Payments: schedule payments and enroll in Auto Pay.
  • Reporting: utilize a full suite of reporting and data download capabilities to access 24 months of your program’s transaction activity.

For customers that use Visa Spend Clarity for Enterprise for expense management of the card program, you will also be able to access this same functionality in UMBCC. UMBCC features the same functionality as Visa Spend Clarity, and UMB converted your program data on your behalf. This includes:

  • Employee records and user credentials
  • Charge code segments, charge codes, charge groups, and default codes.
  • Company hierarchies
  • Expense workflow and receipt imaging rules
  • Finance extract and reporting templates

Your processes for managing expenses will remain the same. UMB will allow you to continue to access Visa Spend Clarity for an additional 90 days after conversion so that you have time to complete your expense reconciliation on your HTLF accounts.  During this time, you will also want to ensure you have downloaded all financial extracts and receipt image extracts.

Transaction activity in UMBCC will only be on a go-forward basis for your new UMB commercial cards. Historical statements, reports, etc. should be downloaded and archived as needed.

  • Your ScoreCard Reward program ended, and you must redeem any accumulated points.

    • Redeem for non-statement credit rewards like cash back, travel, merchandise and more no later than August 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT
  • If you have individual cardholders, it is your responsibility to notify them of the ScoreCard Rewards changes.

Contact your banker or call us for questions or additional support by calling the number on the back of your card.

Card payments (ACH Positive Pay/Filter)

Update your ACH Positive Pay/Filter to continue autopayments on credit cards converted to UMB.

Most credit card autopayments will continue. However, if you use an ACH Positive Pay/Filter service on your bank account, you need to update the filter to allow the UMB debit to post for payment, ensuring your payments continue. This account may be at UMB or another bank.

To update the filter, follow the steps for commercial credit cards:

  • If you’re enrolled in the UMB Commercial Card platform, update the filter to UMB Company ID 1980455904.
  • If you’re enrolled in a different UMB Online Banking platform or make payments to your card via phone, update the filter to UMB Company ID 9470535472.

Visa Commercial Format (VCF) File Subscription

When your Commercial Card Program converts to UMB, you will continue to receive services such as the delivery of your program’s daily data file. The purpose of these files is to provide card transaction data, but these files can also support the transmission of card account, billing period, merchant data and enhanced transaction details.

When your Commercial Card Program converts to UMB, you will still receive files at the same frequency you receive them today, and the delivery methods will not change, but some commonly used files in your VCF File Subscription will change.

If your Commercial Card Program runs any processes to load files, and these processes are dependent on the values in the file naming, please note this needs to be updated on July 14.

For more details, review the VCF File Resource Guide.

Commonly asked questions
