About your new accounts

Your credit card accounts are transitioning to UMB, and new UMB-branded cards will be issued to your active cardholders to replace current cards.

Credit card action items:

Beginning July 14:

  • By early July, new UMB-branded cards arrive in an unmarked envelope; be careful not to discard them.

    • If your cards are bulk-shipped, the Program Administrator will receive the box with all cards.
  • Activate your card once received with the included instructions but continue to use your current card through July 13.

  • On July 14, begin using your new UMB card and destroy your old one.

  • Add your new card to your mobile wallet for seamless payments at participating retailers.

  • Access your account online
  • Update any bill pay and recurring payments with your new card number, expiration date and CVV code.

  • Redeem accumulated reward points no later than August 31.

Important account information

As part of the transition, new UMB-branded cards will be issued to all active cardholders to replace current cards.

Please communicate this information to your active cardholders:

  • New UMB-branded cards will arrive by early July. To protect your safety, cards are sent in plain white envelopes with no identifying information. Be careful not to discard the envelope accidentally.

  • Cards can be activated upon receipt but cannot be used until July 14.

  • Continue to use your current card through July 13.

  • On July 14, begin using your new UMB-branded card and destroy your current card.

  • Your card number, expiration date, and CVV code will change.

  • You can also add your card to a digital wallet to make purchases at participating stores and within the Apple Pay®, Google Pay®, or Samsung Pay® apps.

Outstanding balances

Outstanding balances on your current business card account as of July 12, 2025 will be transferred to your new UMB Visa Business Signature card and reflect on your new UMB statement as “HTLF Balance Transfer – Purchase.”

July payments

Please make your scheduled July payment as disclosed in your July HTLF statement.

  • Check or scheduled automatic payments: When your payment is received, the payment will be applied to your balance and reflect on your new August 2025 UMB statement.
  • Online banking payments: Any payment made through online banking beginning on July 14 will need to be made through UMB.

August payments

For your August 2025 UMB statement, the balance owing will reflect:

  • The “HTLF Balance Transfer – Purchase”
  • “HTLF Balance Transfer – Finance Charge” and “HTLF Balance Transfer – Fee” owing through October 11
  • Any payment you made to your account prior to the statement cut
  • All transactions that occurred with your new UMB card from July 14 through the statement cut

Statements

You will receive a final HTLF statement in August for informational purposes only, and it will show all transactions that occurred since your last statement through July 12. All balances and scheduled payments due will be reflected in your August UMB card statement.

Your new UMB statements will cut on the first day of each month, with the first billing statement cutting on August 1. Your scheduled payment will be due 26 days later. UMB will convert your existing Automatic Payments and carry them over with your next billing statement using the scheduled due date, and no action is required on your part.

Please review the materials sent to you in early June for available payment methods.

Online account management

Based on your current online account management needs, your card program will be granted access to either Premier Business Online Banking or Online Banking.

Please refer to the chart below or your welcome letter delivered in early June to determine your card program access.

Beginning July 14, you will be given access to UMB Premier Business Online Banking to manage your card program. To support a smooth conversion, take the following actions:

  1. Visit UMB.com/business-online-banking to log into the platform
  2. Bookmark the Business Online Baking Help Center for additional resources such as user guides.

After conversion weekend, once your account is available you can enroll in UMB Online Banking. Simply go to UMB.com to start:

  1. On the “Login” menu click Enroll.
  2. On the UMB Online Banking Enrollment page select “Business Credit Card” from the Account Type menu.
  3. Complete the required fields to enroll.

Rewards redemption

If your credit card earns rewards, you will continue to earn rewards with your new card at the same level as you do today. However, your rewards provider is changing and your current reward program through ScoreCard Rewards will end on July 13.

Your current rewards card:
  • Continue using your current card to earn rewards through July 13.

  • Your ScoreCard Reward program is ending, and you must redeem any accumulated points.

    • Redeem for statement credit no later than July 7, 2025.
    • Redeem for non-statement credit rewards like travel, merchandise and more no later than August 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT
  • If you have individual cardholders, it is your responsibility to notify them of the ScoreCard Rewards changes.

  • Before July 14, call Card Customer Support at 877-346-1412.

  • Beginning July 14, call the number on the back of your card.

Card payments (ACH Positive Pay/Filter)

Beginning July 14, you’ll need to update your ACH Positive Pay/Filter to continue autopayments on credit cards converted to UMB.

Most credit card autopayments will continue as they are set up today. However, if you use an ACH Positive Pay/Filter service on your bank account, you’ll need to update the filter to allow the UMB debit to post for payment, ensuring your payments continue. This account may be at UMB or another bank.

To update the filter, follow the steps for business credit cards:

  • If you pay your UMB card with a non-UMB checking account, update the filter to UMB Company ID 8470535472.
  • If you pay your UMB card with a UMB checking account, update the filter to UMB Company ID 8470535473.

Commonly asked questions

You’ll receive your new UMB credit card in the mail by early July. You can follow the activation instructions included with your card when you receive it. However, you need to continue using your existing card through July 13.

On July 14, start using your new UMB card, stop using your old card and destroy it.

For Visa Signature Cards, UMB will attempt to update merchants you’ve authorized to store your credit card payment information with your new UMB credit card information.

However, this won’t apply to all merchants. After conversion weekend, you should follow up with authorized merchants and provide your new UMB credit card number to ensure that your payments continue to process uninterrupted.
