About your new accounts

Business deposit accounts are transitioning to UMB during conversion weekend, July 11-13. All account changes are effective July 14. Please review the important account information you received in early June, which includes details on your account changes.

Important account and service information

For online banking, most customers will move to UMB Premier Business Online Banking. You’ll receive communication with your login instructions close to conversion weekend.

We recommend Premier Business Online Banking users download the UMB Mobile Banking app and log in with the same credentials.

You will receive your new UMB debit or ATM card in the mail by early July. You can follow the activation instructions included with your card when you receive it. However, you need to continue to use your existing card through July 13.

On July 14, start using your UMB debit or ATM card, stop using your old card and destroy it.

You’ll receive your new UMB credit card in the mail by early July. You can follow the activation instructions included with your card when you receive it. However, you need to continue to use your existing credit card through July 13. On July 14, start using your UMB credit card, stop using your old card and destroy it.

Note: If you’d like to redeem your current business credit card rewards for a statement credit, you’ll need to do so before July 7. You’ll continue to earn rewards on your current card through July 13 and can redeem remaining reward points for merchandise and travel until 11:59 p.m. CT on August 31. Learn more about your UMB credit card.

For most customers, you do not need to update your one-time or recurring ACH transactions. For now, continue to use your existing routing and account number information. If you need to make an update, we will contact you directly and provide additional information.
Recurring, automatic internal transfers you set up in online banking before July 11 will carry over to your UMB account.

If you have set up external account transfers, those transfers will not carry over as this functionality will not be supported.

Daily cutoff times for transaction processing at UMB may vary from your current cutoff times. Additionally, some external transfers may take up to five business days to appear in your account.

For more information, read the Funds Availability Policy in your UMB Deposit Account Agreement, which you received in early June, and visit our business online banking resources.

If you currently receive a combined statement for all your accounts, you will begin receiving individual account statements after conversion weekend.
While you’ll have an individual statement for each of your accounts, you can download and save statements collectively from UMB Premier Business Online Banking.

Your existing statement delivery preferences (eStatements or paper) will carry over to UMB. After conversion weekend, you can update your delivery preferences anytime in Premier Business Online Banking.

Off-cycle statement
Shortly after conversion weekend, you’ll receive an additional statement for your deposit account (outside of your normal statement cycle). This additional statement will note transactions posted to your account through Friday, July 11. You’ll receive your next statement as usual, noting transactions from July 12 through the remainder of your normal statement cycle.

Off-cycle interest credit
On Friday, July 11, you’ll receive an interest credit to your deposit account for interest earned from your last interest credit through July 13. This will be the amount of interest not yet paid during your monthly interest cycle. After this credit, you will receive credited interest according to your normal interest cycle.

Most customers will keep their same deposit account numbers. If you require a new deposit account number before conversion weekend, we will contact you directly with instructions.

Additionally, most customers do not need to update checks or recurring direct deposits or payments to the UMB routing number at this time. If it is necessary for you to switch to the UMB routing number before conversion weekend, we will contact you directly with instructions.

For incoming wires, continue using your existing payment instructions at this time.

For informational purposes only, UMB’s routing number is 101000695.

For the majority of customers, you can continue to use your existing payment instructions for incoming wire transfers. If you need to change your incoming payment instructions, you will receive a separate communication providing further instructions. Starting July 14, to initiate phone-in wires, please call the UMB Wire Transfer department at 1-888-449-4737 (1-888-44WIRES).

Continue to use your existing supply of checks until it runs out. Beginning July 14, please review our check guidelines when you’re ready for a new supply. Then, submit an order at a UMB branch or directly at Deluxe.com.

Before conversion weekend, most branches will remain open and available during their regular business hours. We’ve already notified customers in areas where there will be exceptions.

After conversion weekend, visit locations.UMB.com to find a UMB branch near you.

Account Statements
If you currently receive a combined statement for all your accounts, you will begin receiving individual account statements after conversion weekend.

Analysis Statements and Billing
UMB will waive July’s monthly maintenance and analysis fees to provide adequate time to meet balance waivers, evaluate your new deposit account and to assist during conversion. Your first analysis charge will be on September 2, 2025, for activity occurring in the month of August. Note, if you are not settling analysis charges monthly, your current billing schedule will carry over to UMB and your first charge at UMB will align accordingly (the first billing cycle will reflect the waived fees for July).

Going forward for analyzed account types, UMB will debit your key billing account(s) on the second business day of every month.

Account Type and Fee Information
To provide a smooth transition, UMB is moving you to a product similar to your current account type. UMB is waiving the monthly maintenance fee and other associated charges for the first service charge cycle to provide adequate time to evaluate your new deposit account.

Overdraft Policy Changes
For business accounts, UMB charges an insufficient funds charge for each item returned for insufficient funds, and an overdraft charge for each item that is paid and results in an overdrawn balance. UMB has no minimum transaction threshold amount for which an insufficient funds or overdraft charge will be applied, and there is no limit to the number of these charges per day. However, beginning July 13, 2025, your UMB debit and/or ATM card transactions will not authorize if the associated deposit account’s available balance is insufficient to cover the transaction amount. You will not be assessed a charge for a debit card transaction that is declined.

Additionally, you may have been assigned a discretionary overdraft dollar threshold by which your account was allowed to become overdrawn, depending on your account type. This threshold was $750 and was based on your checking account type. Your discretionary overdraft dollar threshold will not carry forward to UMB. UMB will decide whether to pay items that overdraw your account based on the item presented for payment.  These overdraft policy changes will not impact any Overdraft Protection services that you currently use (ex: account-to-account transfer overdraft protection).

How to Access Your Accounts
For existing business online banking users, beginning July 14, 2025, you will access your accounts via UMB Premier Business Online Banking, unless you have been contacted separately about moving to a different platform. Additional information on Premier Business Online Banking will be sent separately to online banking users. Visit our business online banking resources to learn more.

If you are not currently enrolled in business online banking, new user self-enrollment will not be available beginning June 20, 2025. You can enroll as a new user in UMB Premier Business Online Banking beginning July 14. To enroll as a new user, contact your business banker.

To provide a smooth transition, UMB is moving you to a product similar to your current account type. UMB is waiving the monthly maintenance fee and other associated charges for the first service charge cycle to provide adequate time to evaluate your new deposit account.

Interest-Bearing Accounts
For interest-bearing accounts, UMB strives to provide an interest rate comparable to the interest rate of your current account. The interest rate and the annual percentage yield on your account may change from day to day at any time at the discretion of UMB.

Excessive Withdrawals
Your UMB money market and/or savings accounts are subject to withdrawal limitations, and exceeding these limitations may result in charges. Please review the account overview and disclosure for your account to learn more about the types of transactions subject to limitations and charges that may apply.

Account and Routing Number Information
Most customers will keep their same deposit account numbers. If you require a new deposit account number before conversion weekend, we will contact you directly with instructions.

Most customers do not need to update checks or recurring direct deposits or payments to the UMB routing number at this time. If it is necessary for you to switch to the UMB routing number before conversion weekend, we will contact you directly with instructions. For incoming wires, continue using your existing payment instructions at this time.

Account Statements
If you currently receive a combined statement for all your accounts, you will begin receiving individual account statements after conversion weekend.

Analysis Statements and Billing
In preparation for conversion efforts, if you have your analysis fees debited on a monthly basis, your June account analysis fees will be debited to the designated account on July 8, 2025 (not the 15th of the month).

Going forward for analyzed account types, UMB will debit your key billing account(s) on the 2nd business day of every month.

Time Deposit Accounts (Certificates of Deposit)

At UMB, your CD is referred to as a Time Deposit Account (TDA).

All time deposit investments are subject to the UMB time deposit agreement and early withdrawal penalties. Unless additional instructions are received, all future contributions shall be invested or reinvested for the same term at the prevailing rate for that term.

Your TDA will continue with the same interest rate and maturity date.
Your early withdrawal penalties will change effective July 14, 2025.

Please refer to the overview and disclosure for more information about Time Deposit Accounts, which you received in early June.

Payment of Interest
UMB provides options to receive interest earned on your Time Deposit including crediting interest to your Time Deposit, credit to a UMB deposit account, or issue a check for the interest amount. UMB’s default is to credit interest back to the principal balance of your Time Deposit.

UMB does not credit interest payments to external accounts. If you currently receive interest payments on your Time Deposit to an external (non-UMB) account, you will receive interest checks to the account address on file.

Renewals
Upon maturity, your TDA will maintain its current term. If you have a non-standard term on your account, upon maturity your TDA will renew for the same term.

Bank safely: Watch for scammers

Scammers often try to exploit business transitions, like acquisitions and mergers. Before, during and after our conversion, please remember:

  • We’ll never contact you to request or confirm confidential data like your account numbers or card numbers or ask for your full Social Security number.
  • We’ll never request a live video call (e.g., FaceTime) to confirm fraudulent activity.
  • We’ll never contact you to ask for your PINs, usernames, passwords or access codes.

If someone calls, texts, or sends email or mail claiming to be with your bank and asking for sensitive information—or if something simply doesn’t seem right—stop contact and immediately call customer service:

At this time, only accounts and services with Minnesota Bank & Trust are moving to UMB in July.

If you bank at a different division of UMB, stay tuned for information about your system conversion in October 2025.

Business customers using Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) will start to move to the UMB system in June 2025, while the majority of business customers will move to the UMB system in October 2025.

UMB will make every effort to update merchants that you’ve authorized to store your debit card payment information with your new UMB debit card information.

However, this won’t apply to all merchants. After conversion weekend, you should follow up with authorized merchants and provide your new UMB debit card number to ensure that your payments continue to process uninterrupted.

You’ll receive a UMB business debit card if you use your current card to make purchases and withdrawals from your checking or money market account.

You’ll receive a UMB business ATM card if you use your current card to make purchases and withdrawals from your savings account.

You can use your new UMB debit card to make purchases, in-person, online, over the phone or by mail order—anywhere Visa® is accepted.

Your debit card will include contactless chip technology. When making an in-person purchase, you can use your card to tap, dip or swipe. You can also load to Google Pay™, Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay and Garmin Pay to make debit card purchases from your mobile wallet.

Beginning July 14, you can call the number on the back of your new card or visit a UMB branch and one of our associates will gladly assist you. You can also see your pending debit card transactions in real-time in UMB Online and Mobile Banking and use this information to determine which card belongs to which deposit account.
UMB has worked to ensure that your card limits are equal to or greater than those currently in place. However, you will receive a UMB ATM card if your current debit card is associated with a savings account. UMB ATM cards can only be used at an ATM.

We use various card authorization limits to protect you, the cardholder. We use a combination of single transaction limits and daily dollar limits, which are disclosed on the card mailer to which your UMB business debit or ATM card will be affixed.

Your transaction will decline if you have insufficient funds in your deposit account to authorize the transaction successfully.
Yes, any time you request a new physical card or report your current card as lost or stolen, we can send a text message with a link to add a UMB debit card to your Apple Pay or Google Wallet. You can use your digital debit card immediately while you wait for your physical card to arrive in the mail and any time after.

Once you have a physical card in-hand, you can add it directly to your mobile wallet app by manually entering your card payment information. Load your UMB card directly to Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Samsung Pay or Garmin Pay.

Continue to use your existing supply of checks until it runs out. When you’re ready for a new supply, please review our check guidelines. Then, submit an order at a UMB branch or directly at Deluxe.com.

With the conversion, up to 19 months of deposit account statements and transaction history from your current online banking will carry over to UMB. While history will be available when you first log in, the most recent statement will be available shortly after conversion.

If you need more than 19 months of historical statements and transaction history, download and save that information from your current online banking account before July 11.

Historical account analysis statements will not be transferred to UMB systems. You should save these for your records prior to July 11.

For CDs, known as Time Deposit Accounts (TDA) at UMB, your interest rate, annual percentage yield and term will remain the same.

Deposit insurance protection covers funds on deposit in any checking account, savings account (including money market savings account) or time deposit accounts maintained with UMB.
