About your new accounts

Your personal loans and lines of credit are transitioning to UMB during conversion weekend, July 11-13. All changes are effective July 14. Please review the important account information you received in early June.

Statements

If you currently receive a combined statement for all your accounts, you will begin receiving individual account statements after conversion weekend. If you are signed up for e-statements, you will receive both an e-statement and paper statement beginning July 14.

Important fraud reminder

Scammers often try to exploit business transitions, like acquisitions and mergers. Please remember: We will never contact you to request or confirm confidential information or request a video call, and we’ll never ask for sensitive data like PINs, usernames, passwords or access codes. If you suspect fraud, contact your current customer service team immediately.

Commonly asked questions

Your loan is based on terms set when you signed your loan documents, so nothing with the terms and conditions will change in the transition to UMB.

If your automatic payment is set to pay your monthly billing statement on its due date through a prescheduled transfer from your Minnesota Bank & Trust account, you don’t need to do anything. These autopayments will continue after conversion. However, autopayments on a loan or line of credit will not continue to process after July 11 if:

  • You make autopayments through an account at any other financial institution.
  • You make autopayments outside of your monthly statement billing due date.

For these two situations, you’ll need to set up your autopayments again. After July 14, go to Bill Pay in your online banking account to reestablish autopayments that didn’t carry over.

Additional/extra payments (i.e., separate, additional payments added to your regular monthly loan payment on a separate date from your monthly due date) will not carry over to the UMB system. After July 14, go to Bill Pay in your online banking account to reestablish your automatic additional/extra payments.

Refer to your monthly billing statement for your loan number and payment options. This statement will include an updated address for loan payments, and using this updated information will expedite payment posting.

You can continue to use your existing HELOC checks.

Most overdraft lines of credit require no action and will automatically continue after conversion. If you require a new setup before conversion, we will contact you directly with available options.

Please use your UMB billing statement to ensure the bill payment is directed to the updated address and loan number for loan payments.
After conversion to the UMB system, your loan will reflect that it has been transferred to UMB Bank, n.a. This new/updated transfer may take up to 90 days after conversion to be reflected on your credit report.

The conversion to UMB will simply transfer the lender relationship to UMB and will not have a negative impact on your overall credit history.
